Introduction

During the World Environment Day from June 5th to 6th, the "ESG and Dual Carbon Committee" of Highly Group, in collaboration with the Power College, jointly organized the "ESG and Dual Carbon Special Empowerment Meeting". The key personnel in charge of ESG and energy-carbon business from various subsidiaries participated in the training intensively. The meeting relied on cutting-edge policies and practical cases to conduct lectures and discussions, effectively enhancing the practical implementation capabilities of all employees in ESG and dual carbon initiatives. At the meeting, relevant leaders from the Social Responsibility Department of the Shanghai Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission were present to observe and provide guidance. Luo Min, the Deputy General Manager and Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Group, and Zou Xuming, the Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission and Chairman of the Labor Union, presented medals to the award-winning enterprises outside Shanghai for the "ESG Dual Carbon Pioneer Challenge", in recognition of their outstanding achievements in ESG green practices.

The General Manager's Office and the Safety and Environmental Protection Committee Office respectively made special work arrangements centered around the establishment of the ESG system and the enhancement of quality and efficiency in achieving dual carbon goals. The meeting invited external industry experts to deliver lectures on five major themes: "New Trends of Global ESG from the Perspective of the Value Chain" anchored on the global industrial chain, clarifying the guidelines for sustainable supply chain construction for overseas enterprises; "Focusing on the Core of Carbon Policy to Build a Solid New Foundation for Development" systematically interpreting the domestic dual carbon framework and carbon quota control rules; "EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM)" analyzing the impact of the new policy of expanding carbon tariffs on enterprises; "The Current Status and Development of Zero-Carbon Factories in China" outlining the application requirements and evaluation details for national-level zero-carbon factories; and "Ecovadis and Practical Sustainable Supply Chain" dismantling the sustainable procurement rating system to guide the implementation of green and sustainable collaboration in the group's supply chain. The courses integrate macro policies with practical implementation, closely align with the actual operations of the group, and provide professional support for green transformation.

Focusing on reducing consumption through circular packaging, waste heat recovery, and resource utilization, representatives of winning projects from the ESG Dual Carbon Pioneer Challenge shared their project implementation experiences and introduced technical routes and management methods. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanged ideas on challenges such as industrialization of results, cross-entity collaboration, and carbon accounting control.

The one-and-a-half-day training session served as both a concentrated update on professional knowledge and a mobilization for the group's green transformation efforts. Based on the global trend of low-carbon development and the national dual-carbon strategy, Highly will leverage this empowerment as a starting point, adhere to strategic guidance and innovation empowerment, integrate ESG concepts throughout the entire production and operation process, accelerate the optimization of energy structure and the industrialization of resource recycling, implement learning outcomes, and steadily achieve the group's ESG and low-carbon sustainable development.
