Introduction
On October 10, Highly Group's 2026 Internationalization Seminar was held at the Shanghai Electric Party School. Under the theme of "Deepening Global Market Presence and Sharing Overseas Expansion Practices," the seminar focused on "Extracting Internationalization Experience" and "Cultivating Internationalization Talent." Miao Jun, Director of the International Business Department of Shanghai Electric Group, and Gao Shanshan, Deputy Director of the Human Resources Department, attended the event. More than 100 participants attended, including Sun Jun, Secretary of the Party Committee of Highly Group, along with Group leadership, general managers of subsidiaries, and trainees of the talent development program.

In his opening address, Sun Jun, Secretary of the Party Committee of Highly Group, noted that as one of Shanghai Electric's earliest industrial sectors to embark on the path of internationalization, Highly has passed through key milestones including investing in and building overseas plants and acquiring and establishing Highly Marelli. Its business has expanded from air conditioning compressors to automotive thermal management systems, continuously fulfilling the "Three Transformations" requirements put forward by Shanghai Electric and achieving an all-round leap from market internationalization to internationalization in production, R&D, and capital. Today, Highly stands at a new starting point — transitioning from "international layout" to "global operations." Sun Jun pointed out that much of Highly's valuable experience is embedded in the individual practices of frontline key personnel. Therefore, the Company will continue to advance the extraction of internationalization experience and the cultivation of internationalization talent, transforming tacit knowledge into replicable and transferable organizational capabilities, clarifying the path and building strength for Highly's globalization transformation.
In the "Internationalization Experience Extraction" session, the Highly Power Academy released the results of its 2026 internationalization experience extraction project. Focusing on key markets including Japan, Europe, and India, the project conducted in-depth interviews with 15 overseas frontline experts, systematically distilling insights from five dimensions — "philosophy, methodology, technique, tools, and pitfalls" — to create a "going global playbook" of Highly's own. Four overseas business leaders shared practical case studies on the Indian, European, Japanese, and global procurement markets, covering cross-cultural management, long-term strategic resolve, stringent validation driving capability enhancement, and global procurement matrix collaboration, collectively outlining the methodology behind Highly's deep global expansion.

Sun Jun, Secretary of the Party Committee of Highly Group, presented enrollment certificates to trainees of the Highly Electrical Appliances internationalization program.
In the "Internationalization Talent Development" session, the Highly Electrical Appliances internationalization talent development program was officially launched, with 52 high-potential and mid-career key professionals selected through competitive selection. Through job rotation, temporary assignments, and project-based practice, these key personnel will be placed in real internationalization scenarios for hands-on experience, gradually establishing a sustainable internationalization talent supply mechanism. At the meeting, four young trainees shared their individual internationalization growth stories from 0 to 1, drawing on different pathways including cross-functional appointments, overseas postings, technical role transitions, and functional secondments. Their stories demonstrated that internationalization talent is not limited by language or professional background — with courage and a willingness to learn, anyone can grow into an outstanding internationalization professional through practical experience.
In their remarks, Lu Haifeng and Zhu Haoli, Deputy General Managers of Highly Group, elaborated on the necessity of Highly's internationalization strategy, emphasizing that internationalization capabilities are forged through real-world practice, and that it is essential to elevate awareness, integrate cultures, and remain resilient; to break down cognitive biases, anticipate market fluctuations, and face globalization challenges with unwavering determination.
Gao Shanshan, Deputy Director of the Human Resources Department of Shanghai Electric Group, affirmed Highly's internationalization talent development efforts and expressed her expectation that trainees will integrate into the broader strategic framework, hone their professional skills, and establish themselves through proven capability. Miao Jun, Director of the International Business Department of Shanghai Electric Group, conducted an in-depth analysis of changes in the global landscape and offered five recommendations to Highly: putting compliance first, restructuring supply chains, diversifying markets, deepening localization, and making good use of rules — accelerating the transition from "Made in China" to "Made Globally."

From "having methods" in experience extraction to "having talent" in the talent pipeline, this seminar has supported Highly's globalization transformation and will help advance Highly's global endeavors steadily and sustainably.
